MiniMon Privacy Policy
Last updated 6 September 2026 · Applies to MiniMon - System Monitor & Task Manager (package JKCodes.MiniMon) published on the Microsoft Store by JK Codes.
Short version. MiniMon runs entirely on your device. It makes no network connections, shows no ads and collects no data of any kind. We cannot see anything about you, your PC or how you use the app, because nothing is ever sent to us.
1. What MiniMon does with data
MiniMon reads live performance information from Windows in order to display it to you: CPU, memory, GPU, disk and network activity, temperatures where the hardware exposes them, and the list of running processes with their resource usage. This information is read from standard Windows interfaces, shown on screen, and discarded as it refreshes. It is never transmitted anywhere.
2. What is stored on your device
- Settings. Your theme, accent colour, hotkey, alert thresholds, window position and similar preferences are saved in a small configuration file inside the app's private storage folder on your PC.
- History. If you use the history graphs, recent metric samples are kept locally so the 1-hour and 24-hour views can be drawn. They stay on your device.
- CSV logs. If you turn on CSV logging, MiniMon writes metric samples to a file at the location you choose. You own that file and can delete it at any time.
Uninstalling MiniMon removes its private storage folder. CSV files you exported to your own folders are yours and are not touched.
3. Network access
MiniMon does not connect to the internet. It has no update checker, no telemetry, no crash reporter, no analytics and no advertising component. The only network-related code in the app reads the byte counters of your network adapters so it can show upload and download rates.
4. Purchases and the free trial
MiniMon offers a 7-day trial and a one-time purchase. Both are handled entirely by the Microsoft Store using the Windows Store licensing service built into Windows. MiniMon asks Windows whether a valid trial or licence exists and receives a yes or no. It does not see your Microsoft account, your name, your payment details or your purchase history. Microsoft's handling of that information is described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
5. Permissions
MiniMon is a full-trust desktop app, which is what allows it to read system-wide performance counters and end processes. It does not use the camera, microphone, location, contacts or any other personal device capability. Ending elevated or protected processes requires you to start MiniMon as administrator; it never asks for elevation on its own.
6. Children
MiniMon is a general-purpose utility that collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
7. Your rights
Because MiniMon collects no personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export or delete on your behalf. Everything the app stores lives on your own PC under your control. If you have a question or believe this policy is inaccurate, contact us and we will respond within 7 days.
8. Changes to this policy
If a future version of MiniMon ever changes how it handles data, this page will be updated with a new date at the top and the change will be described in the app's Store listing before it takes effect.
